Definitely had the worst ending to my vacation yesterday. My family and I had our dogs boarded in the kennel at VCA in Ringgold while we were away, and I got a phone call yesterday while we were on our way home from Orlando from the kennel. They said that my Yorkie, Bentley was fine during the morning but was all of a sudden not moving his back legs and couldn't walk. Naturally, I flip out because he is 9 years old, he's like my child, and he's had previous health issues and is on a very strict diet, etc. They had no idea what happened to him and I was not able to get any answers and I was still 3 hours from home. I told them to send him to the vet and that I didn't want him back at the kennel. We finally get there, and after x-rays and everything else, they say all of his vitals and such are fine and they couldn't see anything on the x-ray either. They said he had diarrhea and sent me home with an antibiotic and pain meds for him. However, they did not even let me see him til I was leaving and I burst into tears as soon as I saw him because he looked AWFUL. My sister has a pug that was not cared for properly as well. Overfed him, had not been cleaning him properly, AND he had some sort of bite on his foot causing him not to walk on it EVEN THOUGH he was in an indoor only kennel. Every dog was extremely dehydrated and gulping down water as soon as they saw it. I have been up all night worried about Bentley and watching him to make sure he is okay. He seems to be feeling in good spirits, but he has still been wobbly on his back leg. It's hard to care for a sick/injured animal when they weren't hurt in your care and your vet can't even tell you what happened. Please say a prayer that he heals up 100% and that this isn't something serious. I will definitely never take him back to that kennel or even that vet. The lack of care our animals received was TERRIBLE at best. chic wedding selections with ruffle or ruching
